Caralee Community School

Caralee Community School has allocated their School Benefits Program money to supplementing their school's Healthy Eating and Gardening Program. Principal, Trevor Anderson, is thankful for the additional funding his school receives through the Winthrop Gardens Supa IGA initiative as it has helped students' knowledge, understanding and skills in sustainability, healthy foods and social development.

The School Benefits Program helps with the provision of funding for Caralee Community School's Environmental Program, which includes the vegetable gardens, chickens, worm program and sensory garden project. It assists in the purchase of seeds, punnets, chicken food/straw and building materials.
