Banana Smoothies with a Twist

We all love a good banana smoothie and here are some interesting foods to add to liven up your next one!

Pure Banana Smoothie: 
1 banana
1 tablespoon honey, or agave
1 cup nut or seed milk of choice
Ice (optional)

Berry Banana Smoothie: 
1 banana
4 large strawberries, stems removed
½ cup blueberries
1 teaspoon agave
1 cup plain raw yogurt
½ cup orange juice

Health Nut Banana Smoothie:
1 banana
½ cup almonds
2 cups spinach
1 teaspoon unprocessed (raw) nut butter
1 tablespoon agave nectar (optional)
1 teaspoon chia seeds

Dessert Banana Smoothie: 
1 banana
1 cup half and half
1 teaspoon agave or maple syrup
½ teaspoon cinnamon
¼ teaspoon nutmeg

Banana Pineapple Smoothie: 
½ ripe banana
⅓ cup raw almond milk
100g fresh, chopped pineapple

Almond-Banana Smoothie: 
2 large ripe bananas, peeled, sliced
2 cups almond milk or seed milk
2 cups ice cubes
2 tablespoons agave
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Ground nutmeg

Pineapple Mango Banana Smoothie:
3 cups fresh pineapple juice
1 cup pineapple chunks
1 mango skinned and cut into chunks
1 banana peeled
honey, agave or sweetener of choice (to taste)

Peanut Butter & Banana Smoothie:
1½ cups chilled raw nut or seed milk
2 tablespoon plain raw yogurt
1 tablespoon creamy peanut butter
2 small ripe bananas
2 teaspoons agave (optional)

Prepare fruit. Place all ingredients in blender on high for 40 seconds or until the smoothie thickens.
